Hi, everyone, we are the Center for Bilingual Education and Resources at Chang Gung University. In response to the government's goal of becoming a bilingual country in 2030, our school has received a grant from the Ministry of Education to upgrade our all-English-taught courses to the EMI level. EMI is the abbreviation for English as a Medium of Instruction. Not only course materials are in English and taught in English, an EMI course also expects a considerable degree of teacher-student interaction, group discussions, and reports (either oral or written) to be conducted in English. The purpose is to enable students to truly use English to study, to learn professional knowledge, to express opinions, and to discuss topics, etc. In an all-English atmosphere, students can improve their international mobility, and use professional English to bridge to the world.
