The BESTEP is a testing tool that can be used by schools to promote bilingual programs and can be used as a feedback mechanism for teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.

1. Test name: BESTEP English Proficiency Test, referred to as BESTEP

2. Test date: Speaking and Writing (SW): 113/10/19 (Saturday),

                     Listening and reading (LR): 113/11/09 (Saturday),

                    Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading (LRSW): 113/10/19(Saturday) & 113/11/09(Saturday)

3. Test location: our school, to be announced later

4. Test items: Speaking test, simultaneous recording by one person, one machine and multiple people. The question type consists of three parts: "Answering Questions", "Expressing Opinions" and "Summary Report". The recording time is about 15 minutes. The writing test is conducted in the form of a paper-and-pencil test. The test questions include three parts: "Answering Questions", "Expressing Opinions" and "Integrated Writing". The answering time is 50 minutes in total. Listening and reading test, about 110 minutes (including time for verification, sending and receiving test papers).

5. Registration target: All students of our school (undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and in-service master’s classes)

6. Registration time: from now until September 11, 2024 (Wednesday)
