Dr. Yaw Shin Ooi目前在Duke-NUS Medical School擔任助理教授，專注於利用各種基因篩選策略，如CRISPR/Cas系統，探索調控RNA病毒的宿主因子。在過去的幾年裡，已經針對alphavirus、flaviviruses和enteroviruses多種病毒進行了研究。其實驗室目前致力於研究宿主與醫學上重要的蝙蝠和蚊媒病毒之間的分子相互作用，旨在找出潛在的治療標的。演講訊息如下：

Dr. Yaw Shin Ooi, currently an assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School, specializes in utilizing genetic screening strategies, placing particular emphasis on the CRISPR/Cas system, to study host factors for RNA viruses. In recent years, he has characterized various viruses, including alphaviruses, flaviviruses, and enteroviruses. His lab is currently dedicated to investigating the molecular interactions between host factors and medically significant viruses transmitted by bats and mosquitoes. The goal is to pinpoint vulnerabilities that could be targeted for potential therapeutic interventions.
